Taking photos should be fun.
With the kiddos, I make each session a game. I find this helps ease their stress and pressure on them to perform. The best photos come from those moments when the pressure is off and they can show their silly colors.
I know the unpredictability of kiddos is a big stress on parents. The more relaxed we are, the kids usually follow our lead. When they need a break, we take one. If they need a bribe, they can choose a prize from my bag at the end of the session.
